Ends will be secured only with inconspicuous rubber bands. Compliments and accolades earned - and, conversely, dishonorable acts committed - while in uniform reflect not only upon the cadet but also upon the program and the school. Centered left-right with the pocket and centered between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket. The part will be one straight line, not slanted or curved, and will fall in the area where the Soldier would normally part the hair. Mustaches will not present a chopped off or bushy appearance, and no portion of the mustache will cover the upper lip line, extend sideways beyond a vertical line drawn upward from the corners of the mouth see lines C and D of Figure 3—1or extend above a parallel line at the lowest portion of the nose see line B of Figure 3—1.
For the Class A uniform, rank is worn on both shoulder epaulets.
Cadets are required to wear their JROTC uniform on designated days, and they may wear only the class of uniform specified for that day. Place between the second and third button, centered left-right. No more than two cords may be worn, one on each shoulder. Cadets should bring damaged insignias to their supply officer in order to obtain a replacement. For example, if there are five medals in the first row, the second row must have five or fewer medals. Having sent the uniform to the cleaners and not having received the uniform back in time for an event is not a valid excuse for not being in uniform; a note from home with an excuse for failure to wear the uniform is also unacceptable. The cord will pass under the arm.
